" Left in the Dark" by R.A. McBride

R.A. McBride fuses photojournalism and fine art techniques, capturing both raw and polished moment. Her large-scale cinematic portraits of America's disappearing urbanscapes have been exhibited at galleries in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Phoenix.
" Left in the Dark "is a photographic series of vivid portraits of San Francisco movie theaters, including the Castro, New Mission, and Balboa to name a few. McBride has gained rare access to the interiors of closed theaters, picturing them empty and allowing the grandeur of the architecture to take center stage.
Left in the Dark is a reminder of the golden age of America.
