I find it to be very romantic and also very soothing. It really does work well with almost any other color and almost becomes the perfect neutral. Considered a feminine color by some , I tend to not apply gender to colors. I find lavender the most flattering color on both men and women. I personally enjoy wearing it all year round." Brad Emerson writes the blog THE DOWNEAST DILETTANTE, a whale of a read, a real delight . I call him the Downeast Dilettante Design Detective. There is often a mystery to solve, unravel . He has a knack for it and for spying beautiful antiques and historic homes. He admits "New York Social Diary is one of the Dilettante's favorite guilty reads,"  
Mine too. 

That he is going to be gracing their pages regularly is something to celebrate.
