Replay revisited

The historic Paris Replay flagship store in rue Etienne Marcel, an early 19th century former ceramics shop has reopened its door after a complete makeover. The interiors have been renovated throughout, and blend perfectly with the brand-new concept devised and designed by Replay.
The aim of this concept is to recreate an environment that offers the visitor a pleasant break from the city, a relaxing experience for both body and mind. The premises of the Paris store unfold through a sequence of large halls with frescoes ceilings. All over the ground floor are high columns of plants and thin films of water descending from the ceiling. The original floral inlay work seems to sprout from the plants that climb up the walls, which blends into the perspective of the glass awning at the entrance, a reminiscent of some of the Paris metro entrances designed by Guimard.

Hunter Bee

It doesn’t take more than a few minutes in Hunter Bee, the Millerton, NY antiques emporium, to realize that the biggest “find” is the store itself. Kent Hunter and Jonathan Bee have wonderful taste and a flair for presentation that makes it hard to leave once you start exploring.

They have a thing for hats ...


These tiny vintage hats come in tiny hatboxes. I always thought they were salesmen samples and then Kent Hunter told me that they were, in fact, GIFT CERTIFICATES!
So much better than our standard gift cards –don’t you think?

Darcel at Louis Vuitton-London

Meet Darcel, a cynical, one eyed, Humpty Dumpty hipster on stilts. This charming little character was created by the Australian-born artist-animator Craig Redman. Darcel delivers scenes of everyday life. Follow him on his journey from downtown New York to Paris and London. Darcel's latest destination was London where he boozed his way through the Louis Vuitton Maison Store opening.
