I was on job in Venice a couple of years ago and part of the job was to photograph a beautiful Palazzo that was once a private home. The staircase in Ca Sagredo was incredible, the salon frescoed with sombre colours. The PR girl promised to take me to the pièce de résistance, the music room. In the corner sat a grand piano and the entire space was frescoed in warm colours, wherever you looked there was magic. As I was I was finishing I decided to let the room speak to me and took this photo. The vibrations of hundreds of years of music floating above the grand canal.. Ca Sagredo is now a beautiful hotel and all the frescoes are still intact.. Taken on my Leica M8 at an 1/8 of a second. Carla x
