She is Chinese, beautiful and a very talented young designer. Her name is
Yiqing Yin, which means "
after a storm comes calm." At the age of four, Yin fled Beijing for France with her stowaway parents, her father having supported the Tiananmen student protest movement. She studied art and fashion at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs, and also at la Chambre syndicale de la Haute couture and the London College of Fashion. In 2010, Yin was awarded the City of Paris's Grand Prize for Design, and was also involved in the final of the International Festival of Hyeres. She was 25.
Pieces from her collection were displayed recently at Galerie Joyce, Paris, and at the
Bar Vogue in the Hotel de Crillon for the "Petit Salon des Jeunes Createurs" event that was held during Paris Fashion Week.
