South Africa – In Fall/Winter 2011, the widely acclaimed design collaboration of adidas Originals with fashion’s wild child Jeremy Scott (JS) continues to present the designer’s individual interpretations on iconic adidas silhouettes offering fresh and playful takes on apparel and footwear pieces. The new line surprises with a fun approach mixing fashion-forward designs with 3-Stripes classics, offering the biggest adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott men’s and women’s collection to date.
For Fall/Winter 2011, Jeremy Scott brings in his unmistakable stylish twist, introducing products influenced by urban jungle and military fashion. His more literal approach to military is shown across his camouflage designs on apparel pieces alongside the iconic JS Wings footwear model in all-over camouflage print and with a signature dog tag. Jeremy’s highlight pieces include the JS Tuxedo Jacket Tiger, reinventing his popular tuxedo track jacket design with tiger stripes, a tiger-headed hoodie and a tiger tail on the back.
This season’s must-have is the successor of his JS Bear shoes, the new JS Panda Bear. In Spring/Summer 2011, Jeremy made sneaker history when he fused a cuddly teddy bear with a chunky Metro Attitude Hi. His new adidas Originals JS Panda Bear shoes continue the witty trend but look east to China’s giant bamboo eaters for inspiration. Panda graphics also appear on selected apparel pieces of the new line next to Jeremy Scott illustrations on some shirts, allowing his fans to celebrate their idol.
As a premiere, he will include two versions of adidas Originals Denim in his Fall/Winter 2011 adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collection: The JS Wings Cupie Jeans, slim-fitting denim jeans featuring Jeremy’s signature wings on both front pockets, as well as JS Bondage Rekord Jeans featuring a green leopard print design all over, as well as a removable backside skirt and a removable bondage-inspired buckle strap that keeps the legs fashionably restrained.
The adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott product line will roll out to international selected accounts and worldwide Originals stores in August and October 2011. The collection comprises 36 apparel pieces and 12 footwear styles for both men and women. Apparel prices range from €60 to €800. Footwear ranges from €70 to €350.
